Missing Guitar with a cartoon sticker of a horse and a butterfly on its nose— Please Help Me Find My First Love
When I was 12 years old in 1970, I got my first job, saved every paycheck, and bought my very first guitar: an acoustic El Degas, tan with a black pickguard.
It had a special touch — my son gave me a sticker of a cartoon horse sitting with a butterfly on its nose, which I permanently placed just to the right of the fretboard above the sound hole.
In 2006–2007, while I was living in San Diego, California, this guitar was sold without my consent by an old boyfriend. I’ve been searching for it ever since — nearly 19 years now.
If anyone has ever come across this El Degas guitar (or knows someone who did), I would be deeply grateful for any leads. It’s more than an instrument to me; it’s part of my life’s story.

Thank you for reading, and for helping me in my search.
