Description Six-string solid-body electric. Seventies? no-brand, HEAVILY modified. Sunburst finish, from clear yellow top through red to black edges and rear. A fake "Hot Whistler" logo on the headstock, made from a Hotpoint appliance logo and a Whistler Mountain Ski Resort pin. The end of the headstock used to have a wicked point on it, like three inches and sharp, and I sawed it off, so the very end of the headstock is rounded and unfinished. Now it fits in a Strat case, whereas it didn't with the point. There is a 1/2" hole drilled through the end of headstock to hang guitar on wall. No string trees, but a single u-shaped bar with all six strings under it. One end of the nut is broken off, and a little roundhead wood screw is there to hold the low E string in place. Rosewood fingerboard, unknown light-colored wood neck (sorry, I'm bad with woods - maple?) "Made in Japan" is stamped on the neck plate. It has two single coil pickups, white plastic rectangles with square polepieces showing. There are three slide switches on a chrome plate like the one on a Jaguar. The switches are bottom front, three knobs and the jack are bottom rear on the pickguard. It has a big metal Tele-like volume knob, and two aluminum tone knobs - a six-position varitone switch in the middle and a normal tone control on the bottom. The pickguard is white plastic, and ugly especially around the knob labels, which used to be embossed onto the plastic until I modified them. The bridge is a hunky, ugly, brass thing I made in my spare time on a vertical mill and finished in acid for a rotten pink brass look. There is a big, asymmetrical hole behind the bridge where a Jaguar-style whammy bar used to be. The body is asymmetric, not shaped like any guitar I'm familiar with. It's heavy heavy wood, sort of mahogany-looking where the finish is chipped off, and it is sculpted like a Strat to fit the body well. It plays okay, with a low action and good neck for light strings. It needs fretwork.
